Just over a month left to enter Heroes 23

Highways Heroes Deadline of 23rd June looming ever closer

There is now just over a month to go to nominate your Highways Hero for 2023 with entries closing on 23rd June.

Already nominations have exceeded previous years with in excess of 100 already ready received for this year but there is still time to nominate your unsung hero.

The Highways Heroes Awards come after a time of unprecedented change not only in our industry, but as part of our everyday lives and be recognised at a special one-off ceremony at the Grand Connaught Rooms on 30th November

We believe this is the ideal time to celebrate the hard work and success of our workers, who have coped admirably in the face of adversity, to recognise the heroic actions of them which, until now, has gone unnoticed.

Speaking, the awards, co-founder Kevin Robinson said, .

“Everyday across the Highways Sector we hear or read a story where one of our teams have done something that simply takes your breath away. Whenever I have had the pleasure of speaking to some of those involved its always the same conversation, “…you would have done the same”, “…it’s just part of the job”, “….I was just trying to help out” or the ever popular “…I was just in the right place at the right time.

“From acts of bravery to acts of kindness and everything in between our teams are amazing and especially after the last year we have all experienced I thinks it is great that we take this opportunity to stop – take a breath – and celebrate just some of these stories, recognise their impact and the extraordinary actions and commitments shown from the Highways Heroes who go to work every day across our Sector.”

"The Highways Heroes awards are unique as the only ceremony which recognises this and to see so many nominations so quickly clearly shows how much we value our people."

The Highways Heroes are principally supported by National Highways with Arcadis as the principal sponsor and significant support from across the sector with many tier 1 and 2 contractors committed to the event.
